According to Collider, Spider-Man will return in the MCU. Producer Amy Pascal plays a key role in negotiating the collaboration between Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures and has confirmed that Spider-Man: No Way Home won’t be the last that fans will see from them. Tom Holland will also continue to play the character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
In an interview with Fandango, Pascal confirms more Spider-Man movies to come in the MCU:
“This is not the last movie that we are going to make with Marvel – [this is not] the last Spider-Man movie. We are getting ready to make the next Spider-Man movie with Tom Holland and Marvel, it just isn’t part of… we’re thinking of this as three films, and now we’re going to go onto the next three. This is not the last of our MCU movies.”
However, Holland made it clear before that he wasn’t looking to continue playing Peter Parker. Pascal seems to have other plans, not only confirming more Spider-Man films in the works but an entire new trilogy.
Fans can look forward to seeing Spider-Man in the MCU, especially those who like Tom Holland’s role as the friendly neighborhood superhero. Pascal reiterates the importance of the collaboration between the two companies and their efforts to work together in the future:
“Spider-Man is always very special and different from everything else, but I think the beautiful thing is you had two big corporations that decided to work together for the good of the story and the character, and I don’t think that’s always the spirit that you see. Yeah, working together and helping each other make things be better is a good model.”
Spider-Man: No Way Home premieres in theaters on December 17.
