Bradley Cooper’s upcoming Ocean’s Eleven prequel is beginning to take shape, with Monica Barbaro (A Complete Unknown, Top Gun: Maverick) expect to join the cast. The Warner Bros. project will be written and directed by Bradley Cooper based off a previous draft by Carrie Solomon. The film will star Cooper alongside Margot Robbie and Wagner Moura (Civil War, The Secret Agent) as the villain. Plot details are scarce at this point, so it is unclear how closely connected this will be to Steven Soderbergh’s films.
Monica Barbaro’s most recent projects include Crime 101, the TV series Fubar, and A Complete Unknown. She stars alongside Callum Turner in One Night Only this August, a romance film in a world where people are only allowed to have sex once a year. She is also in Luca Guadagnino’s next film, Artificial, a film about the OpenAI CEO, Sam Altman.
The Ocean’s franchise has grossed over $1.4 million at the global box office, so it is no surprise that Warner Bros. wants to continue the series. Stay tuned for more updates on the film.
