‘Mission Impossible – Fallout’ Tops List of Weekend Box Office Predictions

'Mission Impossible - Fallout'

Mission Impossible – Fallout, the next installment of the hit Mission Impossible movie franchise starring Tom Cruise, is predicted to top the list of weekend box office sales at $57 million according to Box Office Report. This is quite the feat since the film hasn’t not hit theaters across the nation yet.

Coming close behind Mission Impossible – Fallout is Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again at $20.5 million in weekend sales. This comes pretty significant 41% lower than its opening weekend, totaling box office sales for the Mamma Mia to $75.5 million in its second week. Coming in third behind the smash sequels is another follow-up film The Equalizer 2 at $16 million in predicted weekend sales and $66 million in its second weekend.

Mission Impossible – Fallout, in comparison to other films coming out in previous years on the same weekend still ranks incredibly high. Coming closest in numbers is the 2017 Oscar-winning film Dunkirk at $50.513 million in its opening, and, not surprisingly, Marvel‘s Thor: Ragnarok reached nearly double what Mission Impossible is expected to at $122.745 million.

These predictions are not set in stone, so we are excited to see how this weekend pans out for Cruise’s anticipated film.
