Milo Gibson Cast as Crime Boss Al Capone in ‘In The Absence of Good Men’

Milo Gibson, the son of actor and Oscar-winning director Mel Gibson, has been cast as the notorious mafia boss Al Capone in a new filmed titled In the Absence of Good Men. Milo Gibson, who made his screen debut as Lucky Ford in his father’s Oscar-nominated war docudrama Hacksaw Ridge, will be one of the central figures of the film.

The Hollywood Reporter was the first to officially report about the film, stating that In the Absence of Good Men will focus on the rival wars between the Irish and Italian gangsters of Chicago. Gibson will be acting alongside Peter Facinelli (Twilight, Supergirl) and Sean Faris, who play Jack McGurn, Capone’s right-hand man, and Bugs Moran, the leader of the Irish mob.

The film will also feature Jamie Lynn Sigler (I Do, The Sopranos), who will play a young dancer who is the love interest of McGurn. In the Absence of Good Men will be directed by Timothy Woodward Jr., an indie director who most recently released Traded and American Violence. Woodward will be releasing this film through his company Status Media and Entertainment, with James Cullen Bressack, Lauren de Normandie, and Jarret Furst returning as producers from Woodward’s previous films.

In the Absence of Good Men currently does not have a release date, but is in production.
