Actress Michelle Monaghan has joined Lionsgate and CBS film’s Patriot’s Day. The film already has an eclectic ensemble headed by Mark Wahlberg, along with John Goodman, J.K. Simmons, Jimmy O. Yang, Vincent Curatola and James Colby.
The film, directed by Peter Berg, surrounds the events following the Boston Bombing. Wahlberg’s character is a key officer who is involved in the manhunt of the two assailants. Monaghan is slated to play his wife in the film. Filming for this movie is scheduled to being next month in Boston, and the target release date is December 21, 2016.
Monaghan, repped by ICM Partners, Circle of Confusion and Sloane Offer, is fresh off her latest role in Pixels, and looks to follow the success’ of her work on the first season of True Detective.
