Michael Keaton in Talks to Reprise Batman Role

Michael Keaton is once again in talks to reprise his iconic role of Batman in the new Warner Bros. film, The Flash. Keaton originally played the caped crusader nearly 30 years in the film Batman which premiered in 1989.

In the new revival of the DC comic universe, Ben Affleck originally played Batman but dropped out of the role after the premiere of Justice League back in 2017.

Now, as Affleck has dropped out, Warner Bors. needs a new batman to work alongside Ezra Miller in the upcoming feature film, The Flash

Getting Keaton to accept the role back officially is merely in its early stages according to Hollywood Reporter, and nothing has been finalized as of late. But, if Keaton accepts the role, it will likely be recurring and appear in multiple films throughout the DC comic films.

Additionally, the individual details of Batman’s role in The Flash have been kept under wraps, and it is unknown how big or small the part will be.

The Flash film is incredibly important to the DC universe and introduces the audience to the concept of the multiverse, a critically important facet in DC comics, and will undoubtedly play a huge role in the future of the franchise.
