Mercedes Ron Signs First-Look Deal With Amazon MGM Following ‘Culpables’ Success

Mercedes Ron is continuing her successful partnership with Amazon MGM Studios. According to Variety  the bestselling author has signed a first-look film deal with the studio following the worldwide success of her Culpables franchise. The agreement gives Amazon MGM the first opportunity to develop film adaptations of Ron’s future books, building on a relationship that has already produced some of Prime Video’s biggest international hits.

The Culpables trilogy My Fault, Your Fault and Our Fault became a global phenomenon after being adapted into Spanish-language films. The franchise later expanded with My Fault: London, an English-language remake that introduced the story to an even larger audience. Variety reported that the continued success of both versions of the series played a major role in the studio’s decision to extend its partnership with the author.

“I’m incredibly excited to continue this journey with Amazon MGM Studios,” Ron said in a statement shared with Variety. “From the very beginning, they have believed in my stories and supported my vision.”

Ron first gained recognition by sharing her stories on Wattpad before becoming an internationally bestselling author. Since then, her novels have sold millions of copies and built a loyal fan base around the world. With this new deal, Amazon MGM is betting that Ron’s future stories can repeat the success of Culpables, giving fans even more adaptations to look forward to in the years ahead.
