Matt Reeves Reveals ‘The Batman’ Logo while Jim Lee Reveals His Own Rendition of ‘The Batman’

It appears that Zack Snyder wasn’t the only DC director to get a bit frisky before DC FANDOME. Just after Zack Snyder revealed a small teaser for his upcoming Snyder Cut, The Batman director Matt Reeves revealed the bat symbol for his Batman as well as the title. In bright bold red, it appears that Reeves’ Batman movie is definitely being set up as the Batman movie to stand out amongst the rest

Not only that, but artist Jim Lee added his own fan art ahead of DC FANDOME.

It seems that red is a common theme here.

Here’s everything we know about this movie: it is a point of view noir tale from Batman’s perspective, it will include the villains Penguin, Riddler, and Catwoman, the foundation of the story will be between Bruce and Alfred, this Batman will be more new than the previous ones — only two years in, will take heavy inspiration from “Batman: Year One” and “Batman: The Long Halloween”, will be a much darker and more personal take on the character, may border on an R-Rating, the music will be composed by Michael Giacchino (a frequent collaborator of Matt Reeves), and is meant to be the start of a brand new trilogy.

The Batman is currently shooting again after a four month hiatus due to coronavirus and we should see the first trailer reveal for The Batman this coming DC FANDOME as well as more information from Matt Reeves as well as the rest of the cast.

The Batman is set to release in October of 2021.
