Marvel Studios Released A Trailer To ‘Stan Lee’ Documentary

Marvel Studios released a trailer for the Stan Lee documentary, which will debut June 16th on Disney+. The documentary will be a look back at his career. For all comic fans, it will be another appearance from Stan Lee, as there are no more Marvel cameos.

Stan Lee would have turned 100 years old this year, so the documentary acts as a 100th anniversary for the legendary Marvel creator. This is a deep look at his life and career as co-creator of huge characters such as Iron Man, Spider-Man, and The Avengers. However, his creations continue beyond there. Not only did he create characters, he built universes that connected and put real-world problems in fiction. Marvel.com will celebrate his birthday all month long and urges fans to share a Stan Lee moment on social media with #StanLee100.

It is no secret that Stan Lee is beloved by many not only for his creations but also for his charisma and evident love for what he did and created. He became more popular as he aged and became star-struck, not only with fans but also with actors he worked with. During the trailer, Stan Lee says,

Hi, I’m Stan Lee. Editor of the Marvel Comics Group of Super Hero comic magazines… We didn’t have any money; it was during the depression. But I would read everything I could get my hands on. And man, I felt as though I could go anywhere. What I tried to do was write the kind of stories I would want to read. Our Super Heroes are the kind of people that you of I would be if we had a super-power. It’s really a religious crusade; I like to think.

Stan Lee believed that with all the negative and evil in the world, entertaining someone would be a good thing. Stan Lee embraced the kid in him who loved comics and created a career, and he brought the same out in fans and MCU stars. Paul Rudd, who plays Ant-Man, said he still remembers the feedback Stan Lee gave him and how impactful the experience of meeting him was. Rudd told GQ, “And one of the things that he told me was how happy he was that they were making Ant-Man as a film.”
