Marvel Shifts Release Date For Upcoming Films

Marvel has decided to shift release dates for upcoming projects.

On Tuesday, Disney and Marvel unveiled the new release dates for a few upcoming projects. After Blade director Bassim Tariq left the project, the Marvel team is still searching for a new director. In Summer’s San Diego Comic-Con, Kevin Feige, president of Marvel, first introduced the collective’s shift from Phase 4 into phase 5 and 6. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever will be the end of Phase 4, which will release on November 11th. Projects from Phases 5 and 6 will be the most affected.

So far the untitled Deadpool threequel has moved from September 6, 2024, to November 8, 2024, following the Fantastic Four pushed to February 14, 2025. Additionally, the previously set for November 7, 2025, Avengers: Secret Wars will now debut on May 5, 2026.

The twin Avengers pics: Avengers: The Kang Dynasty and Avengers: Secret Wars was originally planned to roll out six months apart in May and December 2025. Kang Dynasty is first up and will not be affected by these changes. While Secret Wars will move into the May 2026 position.

Other projects announced are Searchlight’s Chevalier on April 7, 2023, 20th’s A Haunting in Venice on September 15, 2023, and Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes on May 24, 2024. There is also an untitled Marvel pic set for February 14, 2025, which has been pushed to November 7, 2025, with another having been removed from the schedule after being set for May 1, 2026.
