Martin Scorsese works together again with Leonardo Dicaprio and Robert De Niro in the historical drama, Killers of the Flower Moon. The cast consists of Lily Gladstone, Jesse Plemans, Tantoo Cardinal, Brendan Fraser, John Litgow, Cara Jade Myers, Jillian Dion, William Belleau, Pat Healy, Louis Cancelmi, Tatanka Means, Michael Abbot Jr., Scott Shepard, Jason Isbell, and Sturgill Simpson.
Eric Roth and Scorsese base their screenplay on David Grann’s book Killers of the Flower Moon: The Osage Murders. The movie follows the story of the Osage Murders that killed Native Americans to access their wealth and oil-rich lands and the government’s blind eye to it all through the romance of Ernest Burkhart (DiCaprio) and Mollie Kyle (Gladstone). At the Cannes Film Festival, Apple TV released the full-length trailer after years of speculation.

Hollywood Reporter gets an insight into Scrosese’s take at the Cannes Film Festival about Killer of the Flower Moon.
Scorsese states, “I knew when I heard what [the Osage] values are about love, respect and loving the earth — and I’m not talking about making this into a political issue; I’m talking about really how to live on this planet — it reoriented me every time I heard it.” To Scorses, it was incredibly overwhelming. “The more I found out, the more I wanted to put in,” Scorsese notes
Killers of the Flower Moon will be released to theaters on October 6th and globally on Apple TV+ on October 20th.
