The final trailer to Antoine Fuqua’s sci-fi thriller Infinite starring Mark Wahlberg and Chiwetel Ejiofor was released on Friday by Paramount. Originally a theatrical release for Paramount last summer, has now turned into an exclusive streaming release on Paramount+ on June 10, right around the corner.
Todd Stein and Ian Shorr adapted the story from D. Eric Maikranz’ 2009 novel The Reincarnationist Papers.
The story follows Evan McCauley (Wahlberg), a man plagued by recollections of places he has never been and talents he has never learned. He is self-medicated and on the verge of a mental breakdown when he is sought out by a hidden club known as the “Infinites,” who disclose that his memories are real; in fact, they are from several prior lives. With mysteries buried in his past, he must work with the Infinities to uncover the answers in his memories in a race against time to save humanity from one of their own (Ejiofor), who aims to eliminate all life in order to stop what he sees as the cursed, never-ending cycle of reincarnation.
The film also stars Jason Mantzoukas (Big Mouth), Rupert Friend (Homeland), Liz Carr (The OA), Sophie Cookson (Red Joan), Toby Jones (Captain America: The First Avenger), and Dylan O’Brien (Teen Wolf).
