‘Mafia X’ Will be Directed by Christian Gudegast

An upcoming film from Thunder Road Pictures and Pioneer Pictures, Mafia X, has found its director. In a report originally curated by Deadline, American filmmaker, Christian Gudegast, will direct the movie. He will also co-write alongside American screenwriter, JP Davis, who also helped to close the deal with the production companies.

Gudegast has had writing credits on films like A Man Apart and London Has Fallen. Yet he made his directorial debut with last year’s Den Of Thieves which he also wrote on and produced. The film released to mediocre reviews but did decently at the box office. His next film is described as an action thriller depicting the efforts of crime groups to band together and fight off terrorism.

Producing the film will be Basil Iwanyk, Robert Kravis, and Karl Herrmann. Very little is currently known about the project as it remains in the early stages of development.

Robert Thornson Jr.: My name is Robert and I am currently an undergraduate student at the University of California Irvine. I am pursuing a B.A. in Film and Media studies with hopes to work in the creative industry. I have always had a passion for storytelling and since youth I've loved film. I grew up loving the movies of directors like Wes Anderson, Stanley Kubrick, Alfred Hitchcock, Martin Scorsese, David Fincher, and many more along with writers such as Aaron Sorkin and Quentin Tarantino. One thing I have always done is write about movies and communicate to others information about the "film community" and the industry as well as about the films themselves. I write creatively on a daily basis.
