Paul Anthony Kelly, who had his breakout role in the TV series Love Story, has been cast in the sequel to 2025’s The Housemaid. Titled The Housemaid’s Secret, Kelly will be joining Sydney Sweeney, who is returning for the sequel, and Kirsten Dunst, who has also recently been cast in the film.
The film will follow Sweeney as Millie Calloway, who, following the events of the previous movie, becomes the housemaid for another wealthy couple. As Millie performs her duties cleaning the couple’s penthouse in the city, she becomes increasingly suspicious of them, especially as she’s told not to see the sick wife. Dunst and Kelly will play the wealthy couple, Mrs. Garrick and Douglas Garrick.
Paul Feig, who directed the first Housemaid movie, will be returning to direct the sequel, as will screenwriter Rebecca Sonnenshine, who will be writing the sequel. Aside from Sweeney, the only other actor from the first movie known to be returning for the sequel is Michele Morrone, who will be reprising her role as Enzo.
Feig is producing the film with Laura Fischer. Through Hidden Pictures, Todd Lieberman is producing, while Carly Elter and Alex Young are executive producing. Sweeney is also producing through her production company, Honey Trap, alongside Kaylee McGregor, who is co-producing on December 17, 2027.
Lionsgate is set to release The Housemaid’s Secret in theaters on December 17, 2027.
