Has Lindsay Lohan finally found love with Glee star Chord Overstreet? Well, don’t get excited too fast; it’s only in the world of film that makes that romance come alive.
According to Variety, Overstreet will play the love interest of Lohan’s character in the untitled Netflix holiday rom-com.
The rom-com will be Janeen Damian’s directorial debut; she has produced holiday films including Much Ado About Christmas, The Christmas Waltz, and A Princess for Christmas. Along with directing, Damian also co-wrote the screenplay with Jeff Bonnett, Ron Oliver (A Timeless Christmas), and Michael Damian (High Strung).
Lohan has been under the radar in the film industry, acting in films and TV shows in small roles over the years. Lohan is playing a newly engaged, wealthy hotel heiress who is involved in a skiing accident and suffers from complete amnesia in her first acting job in years. During her rehabilitation, she is placed in the care of a handsome, blue-collar lodge owner and his precocious daughter around Christmastime.
The holiday rom-com will also star George Young (Malignant), Jack Wagner (When Calls the Heart), and Olivia Perez (In the Heights).
Overstreet currently stars on the Apple TV+ comedy series Acapulco as Chad which also stars Eugenio Derbez.
The release date of the Netflix rom-com will be announced at a later time.
