The newest cast members to join Bryan Cranston (The One and Only Ivan) and Annette Bening (Captain Marvel) in Paramount+ comedy Jerry and Marge Go Large just made sure the comedy would be a whole lot funnier. Larry Wilmore (The Laundromat) and Rainn Wilson (The Office) have joined the comedy inspired by the real couple Jerry and Marge and events, according to Variety.
The Devil Wears Prada and Marley & Me director David Frankel is directing Jerry and Marge Go Large. Filming in Atlanta, Georgia, should begin fairly soon.
Emmy nominee Brad Copeland (Arrested Development) wrote the script based on an original story written by Jason Fagone for The Huffington Post about the real-life lotto-scamming couple.
Jerry and Marge Go Large follows Jerry Selbee (Cranston), a retiree who discovers a mathematical flaw in the Massachusetts lottery and wins $27 million with the aid of his wife, Marge (Bening), and uses the money to revitalize their little Michigan town.
Wilson is currently filming animation Hitpig, about a grizzled porcine bounty hunter and recently appeared in the Toronto Film Festival for Blackbird opposite Kate Winslet.
Wilmore currently has his late-night special series, A Peacock Original Wilmore. He also served as the host of Comedy Central’s The Nightly Show.
