Lamorne Morris Joins Sony Pictures’ ‘Bloodshot’ Alongside Vin Diesel

'New Girl'

Lamorne Morris, best known for his work on the show New Girl, has officially joined the cast of the Dave Wilson directed Bloodshot. He will portray Wilfred Wigans: a scientist who unexpectedly becomes Bloodshot’s ally.

Other cast members working alongside Morris include Vin Diesel, Toby Kebbell, Eiza Gonzalez, Michael Sheen, Talulah Riley, and many others.

Distributed by Sony Pictures, Bloodshot is based on the 1992 comic book of the same name made by Kevin VanHook, Don Perlin, and Bob Layton for Valiant. The premise of the story follows a former soldier who, after being severely wounded, gains the power of regeneration and meta-morphing through nano-machines implanted in his bloodstream.

Other than his work on New Girl, Morris can be see in the upcoming yet still untitled comedy by Universal, Danny Boyle, and Richard Curtis. He also appeared in Game Night, and the Cartoon Network game show BrainRush.

Neal H. Moritz will produce, and Dan Mintz will executive produce.
