First images have emerged of writer-director Justin Kelly‘s film Jeremiah Terminator LeRoy starring Kristen Stewart and Laura Dern.

This film signifies the first time both Stewart and Dern, both known for their work in the Indie film scene, have worked together. Both actresses performed in the 2016 film Certain Women, but they never worked within the same scenes as one another.

Jeremiah Terminator LeRoy will be making its world premiere at the Toronto Film Festival next month, and it is based on the 2008 memoir by Savannah Knoop called Girl Boy Girl: How I Became JT LeRoy. The plot follows the life of Laura Albert who used the surname “JT LeRoy” to become a famous name in literature. Knoop, the sister-in-law of Albert, was hired to make all of the public appearances for the nonexistent LeRoy.

Along with the upcoming film and the tell-all book, LeRoy was also brought to light through the 2016 documentary Author: The JT LeRoy Story which followed the insane story of Albert and her secret rise to fame.

In the film, Dern will portray Albert and Stewart will play the socialized Knoop.
