Kevin Smith Reveals ‘Clerks III’ Trailer

The long-awaited second sequel to the 90s indie cult classic ‘Clerks’ finally has a release date. Kevin Smith, the director and mastermind behind the first two films, has released the official trailer full of nostalgia and self-references.

‘Clerks III’ will reunite fans with classic characters from previous films such as Dante, Randall, Jay, and of course, Silent Bob. After a medical emergency that sends Randall to the ER, he decides he wants to make a movie about themselves working at the convenience store. In case that didn’t sound meta enough, one of the side characters even says it out loud during the trailer. Fans of Kevin Smith know what they will be getting themselves into but the casual viewer should get ready for nonstop 90s nostalgia, tons of famous cameos, self-referential quotes, and a gluttonous love for marihuana.

As old-school as Kevin Smith is, there could have been no better promotion than taking his film on the road. That’s right, touring his film throughout the United States of America one city at a time. The indie filmmaker will screen the movie first and then personally answer questions from the fans. The movie is set to release in theaters on September 13 but the tour called “Clerks III: The Convenience Tour” will start a little earlier in his hometown of Red Bank, NJ on September 4 at the Count Basie Theater.
