Kevin Hart In Talks for Disney’s ‘Dashing Through the Snow’

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Kevin Hart (Ride Along 2) may join Disney’s feature film comedy Dashing Through the Snow. Based on an original idea by Scott Rosenberg (Con Air), Rob Burnett is currently penning a screenplay draft. Described as a Christmas Liar Liar meets Elf, the story follows a workaholic New York City detective with a difficult relationship with his son. Getting the detective to believe in the true Santa Claus (Hart) may be just the thing to repair the father-son relationship.

The project does not yet have a director attached. Will Packer and John Jacobs are producing. Kristin Burr is overseeing for Disney.

Hart is a proven opener at the box office, and has had several recent successes including Ride Along 2 and Central Intelligence. His concert film Kevin Hart: What Now? Is currently in theaters. The comedian is re-teaming with Dwayne Johnson (Central Intelligence) on Sony’s Jumanji remake, which is currently shooting.
