As any dedicated Marvel fan knows, the MCU is broken up into phases. These phases divide the movies based on the year they came out. Phase 1 contains films such as Iron Man and The Avengers, Phase 2 has Age of Ultron and Ant-Man, and Phase 3 holds Black Panther as well as Avengers: Endgame – to provide an idea of the timeline. Currently the MCU is in Phase 4 with films like Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and this Phase has been running since 2021.

Phase 4 has received a lot of criticism for not containing one singular plot or direction, especially coming straight off of the Infinity Saga, Phase 4 has felt confusing and slightly underwhelming for many viewers.

President of Marvel Studios Kevin Feige said recently that there are “clues” hidden within the titles and as the final movies of Phase 4 are released things will begin to make more sense as to what the new saga is and where it is going. In his exact words, Feige dictated the studio will be “clearer” with the upcoming films.

Fans can look for more hints within the upcoming movies Thor: Love and Thunder, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 and The Marvels.
