Kerry Washington, Sterling K. Brown to Star in Film ‘Shadow Force’

Sterling K. Brown and Kerry Washington are set to star in and produce new film titled Shadow Force, written by Leon Chills, which has been described as an updated vision of the Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie-led Mr. and Mrs. Smith released in 20015. The film has yet to receive a director or distributor attached to it, but bidding is expected to start later this week. Alongside Brown and Washington, Pilar Savone, Danielle Reardon, and Stephen “Dr” Love are all set to produce with their respective production companies.

Washington is probably most famous for starring as the lead of ABC’s hit show Scandal, where she played crisis manager Olivia Pope from 2012-2018. Currently, Washington is working on filming Little Fires Everywhere, a limited series that will premiere on Hulu in 2020 and co-star Reese Witherspoon.

Brown has starred in the FX series American Crime Story: The People v. O. J. Simpson and won an Emmy for his performance as Christopher Darden. He then won his second Emmy, a Golden Globe award, and a Screen Actor’s Guild award for his role in the ABC series This Is Us. Brown’s most recent movie roles in 2018 include the massively successful Marvel film Black Panther and Hotel Artemis. He’s currently set to star in the upcoming A24 film Waves.

Mxdwn hopes to update this story with a bid winner and a director in the upcoming week or so.
