Josh Duhamel Replaces Armie Hammer in ‘Shotgun Wedding’

It was recently reported that actor Armie Hammer would be dropping out of the upcoming movie Shotgun Wedding. He resigned from the role after a social media scandal started up due to alleged direct messages that were posted online. Hammer has since denied the authenticity of the messages.

Now Screen Rant reports that actor Josh Duhamel will be taking over Hammer’s role in Shotgun Wedding. Duhamel is best known for appearing in some of the Transformers movies and the television series All My Children.

Duhamel will be acting along side actress and singer Jennifer Lopez. In the movie Lopez and Duhamel will be playing a bride and a groom who both get apprehensive the night before their wedding, which is also a destination wedding. Unfortunately for the couple things quickly get worse when the wedding is then taken hostage.

Ryan Reynolds was initially cast as the lead male role in Shotgun Wedding, but then he was replaced by Armie Hammer. Reynolds will still be producing the movie though. The movie is being directed by Jason Moore, who directed the first Pitch Perfect movie. The movie’s script was written by writers Mark Hammer and Liz Meriwether. The movie will be shot in the Dominican Republic.
