Jonathan Majors To Star In Korean War Film ‘Devotion’

Jonathan Majors is getting his feet wet after the success of his independent hit film The Last Black Man In San Francisco, as the actor is set to star across from Glen Powell in Black Label Media’s upcoming Korean War film Devotion according to DeadlineThe war epic is based on a true story about two superb U.S. Navy fighter pilots who must navigate the carnage of the Korean War. JD Dillard will be the film’s director with production scheduled to begin next year.

Majors will portray the character of Jesse Brown next to Powell’s Tom Hudner based on a script compiled by Jake Crane and Jonathan Stewart. The screenplay derives from the best selling novel Devotion: An Epic Story of Heroism, Friendship and Sacrifice written by Adam Makos. Both the book and film examine how Brown became the first African American in U.S. Naval history to become a fighter pilot, while Hudner leaves behind his ivy-league education at Harvard to join the navy. Through a plethora of differences, the two pilots form a bond and make the ultimate sacrifice for their country as they become the most revered airmen.

Majors is currently represented by CAA, Grandview and Jackoway Tyerman.
