John Krasinski to Direct ‘A Quiet Place’ and Co-Star With Wife Emily Blunt

John Krasinski has taken on the daunting endeavor of both starring and directing in film for the third time. More than that, his wife Emily Blunt (Sicario) is slated to co-star alongside him for the first time in their careers. The film to be is titled A Quiet Place. It’s a supernatural thriller about a family that lives on a farm while being assaulted by an unspecified evil.

While the task of both directing and starring in a film is generally considered to be overwhelming, potential viewers can rest a little easier in knowing that this won’t be Krasinski’s first time doing so. He’s pulled off working double duty on a few episodes of NBC’s The Office, as well as in his most recent feature film, The Hollars. Evidently Krasinski has also done little work on the script alongside Scott Beck and Bryan Woods (Nightlight), however as of now, he’s uncredited on IMDb. Considering that Michael Bay (Krasinski’s 13 Hours producer) is among those slated to produce, it’s safe to say that A Quiet Place should make for an entertaining film.

Paramount will be distributing the film, though they have yet to set a release date.
