“What do they got in there? King Kong?”

Actor Jeff Goldblum, who starred as smooth talking chaos theorist Dr. Ian Malcolm in Steven Spielberg’s Jurassic Park and The Lost World: Jurassic Park, will reprise his iconic role in Universal Pictures and Amblin Entertainment’s upcoming sequel to 2015’s mega-blockbuster Jurassic World. The Hollywood Reporter was the first to report.

Recently, Goldblum starred in the 2016 alien invasion sequel Independence Day: Resurgence and Wes Anderson’s Oscar nominated The Grand Budapest Hotel. The next audiences will see of Goldblum is in Disney and Marvel’s Thor: Ragnarok as the Grandmaster of Sakaar. Soon after, Goldblum will reunite with director Wes Anderson in his upcoming animated feature, Isle of Dogs.

Directed by J.A. Bayona (A Monster Calls), the Jurassic World follow-up will also include the return of skilled velociraptor trainer Owen Grady (Chris Pratt) and park operations manager Claire Dearings (Bryce Dallas Howard), along with news faces in Justice Smith (Netflix’s The Get Down), James Cromwell (Babe) and Toby Jones (Captain America: The Winter Soldier). The film is set to roar into theaters on June 22, 2018.

Austin Allison: Born and raised in Tucson, AZ, I have been obsessed with cartoons, animation, and film in general for as long as I've known how to talk and draw. From Disney animation to indie movies, filmmaking was always the purest form of art to me. I majored in Film and Television Studies and minored in Studio Art at the University of Arizona. The greatest aspect of studying film was developing a creative and critical eye for a medium that I had loved for so long, but couldn't explain why I loved it until now.
