Jamie Foxx Has Been Accused Of Sexual Assault

Jamie Foxx has released a statement in response to the accusations of the alleged sexual assault that allegedly happened back in 2015.

A spokesperson for Foxx said, “The alleged incident never happened. In 2020, this individual filed a nearly identical lawsuit in Brooklyn. That case was dismissed shortly thereafter. The claims are no more viable today than they were then. We are confident they will be dismissed again. And once they are, Mr. Foxx intends to pursue a claim for malicious prosecution against this person and her attorneys for re-filing this frivolous action.”

The incident allegedly began when the plaintiff went up to Foxx’s tables and asked him for a photo. In the court documents for the lawsuit, the plaintiff said Foxx allegedly commented on her body and scent and compared her to Gabrielle Union among other things.

The plaintiff also alleged that a security guard stood nearby and walked further away upon seeing the interaction between her and Jamie Foxx.

A number of sexual assault cases have been filed in the recent months following the passing of New York’s Adult Survivors Act, which has allowed for a one-year window for sexual assault plaintiffs to file civil claims without regard to the statute of limitations. The act was signed on May 24, 2022, and went into effect on November 24, 2022. The act expires on November 24, 2023. The lawsuit against Jamie Foxx was filed under this act.
