Netflix will debut a new vampire movie, titled Day Shift, starring Jamie Foxx, Dave Franco, and Snoop Dogg. Director J.J. Perry who is best known for coordinating the stunts on John Wick 2 will be helming the film. The upcoming action-comedy deals with the life of Bud Jablonski (Jamie Foxx), a blue-collar dad, who wants to provide financial security for his family. His job as a pool cleaner in the San Fernando Valley, however, is a front for a more unusual occupation: hunting and killing vampires.
Bud is desperate to make extra cash, and so he contacts his best friend, Big John Elliot (Snoop Dogg), to get back into the “union” he was once kicked out of. The union, a group of vampire hunters, is the only way Bud can earn enough money; as said by Snoop Dogg’s character, vampire hunting is about “cutting necks and cashing checks.”
Day Shift is scheduled for release on August 12.
