Jamie Dornan/Anthony Mackie Sci-Fi Vehicle “Synchronic” Sold To U.S. and International Markets

Anthony Mackie and Jamie Dornan hop aboard a seven figure-deal with Well Go USA, as the company has acquired the U.S. rights to the TIFF sci-fi action thriller Synchronic according to Deadline. The deal with Rustic Films, Patriot Pictures and XYZ Films, which will also include a theatrical showing in 2020 ,was initiated by Well Go supervisors Doris and Jason Pfardrescher.

UPHE Content Group acquired a plethora of markets to show the film, including German-speaking territories, Latin America, France, Scandinavia, Benelux, Indonesia, the Middle East, Hungary and Poland. Aside from the aforementioned countries, Well Go also sold VVS to Canada, Notorious for Italy, Vertice for Spain, Weird Wave for Greece, Cinesky for the Airlines, Films4You for Portugal, and CD Land Group for CIS. It was also reported last week, Signature Films received the U.K. and Irish rights for the film.

Synchronic will be directed by Aaron Moorehead and Justin Benson, who also compiled the film’s script. The plot will center around two New Orleans physicians who lives are altered after stumbling upon a multitude of awful deaths associated with a designer drug containing strange unworldly side effects. In addition to Mackie and Dornan, Katie Aselton and Ally Ioannides will have supporting roles in the film.
