James Corden has been announced as the voice of the all-powerful A.I. in New Line Cinema’s action comedy Superintelligence. The Melissa McCarthy-starrer will be helmed by McCarthy’s husband, Ben Falcone, from a script by Steve Mallory (The Boss). The comedienne plays Carol Peters, a former executive who gets selected for observation by a super powerful A.I. who may be about to take over the world.
Corden lends his voice to the A.I., speaking through various outlets during the course of the film. The late-night host of The Late Late Show with James Corden has been on the big screen before, starring opposite Oscar-nominated actress Keira Knightley (Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales) in Begin Again, and more recently in the box office hit Ocean’s 8. He has also lent his voice to several animation vehicles including Peter Rabbit, The Emoji Movie, and Trolls.
Superintelligence is about to begin production and has a scheduled release date of Christmas Day 2019 via Warner Bros.
