Its Time Has Come! ‘Jeepers Creepers 3’ to Have Limited One Day Release on September 26th!

The Creeper is back! Victor Salva, who helmed both Jeepers Creepers that were released in 2001 and 2003 respectively, is bringing his winged creature back on September 26th for a special one night only showing in select cinemas. Jeepers Creepers 3 has been in development-hell ever since the release of the second film. A third film was announced prior to Jeepers Creepers 2 but faced financial problems with MGM Studios. For more than 9 years, a third film was held off due to setbacks and many false starts, not to mention Mr. Salva’s criminal history, which also halted casting calls; but the writer and director assured fans that another film was going to happen. In 2015, Myriad Pictures gave the green-light to start filming Jeepers Creepers 3: Ravenous.

When it was first announced, the third film was to be set 23 years after the events of the second movie that would bring back the Creeper after he went to sleep. He returns every 23 years to feed for 23 days. That idea had been talked about for over 12 years but was eventually scrapped. Part 3 takes place in-between the first and second film as The Creeper terrorizes a small farming community. It will explore the origins of The Creeper and sees the return of Jonathan Breck as the titular character. Gina Philips is also set to return in a cameo role, her first appearance since the original film.

The cast will also include Brandon Smith (TV’s From Dusk Till Dawn), Meg Foster (31), Gabrielle Haugh (TV’s Days of Our Lives), Stan Shaw (Cassidy Way) and Joyce Giraud (Rica La Noche). According to Gina Philips, a fourth installment is being planned, but until then check out the teaser below.

He can taste your fear.

Rick Rice: A kid at heart who has loved watching movies from a very young age. Credit must be given to Siskel and Ebert whose film reviews educated me on the world of film inspired me to become a writer myself. I love to read books that range from various topics, copious amounts of research is something that excites me and of course sitting in a movie theater is a highlight of my life. When I'm not watching movies or reading I enjoy listening to foreign music and working hard on finishing my short stories. Currently working on my degree in English with a plan to enroll into Film School with the dream of becoming a screenwriter and director.
