Indochine Concert Brought to Cinemas by IMAX and Pathé Live This Fall

Indochine

This fall, people will have the opportunity to watch Indochine’s sold-out concert at the Groupama Stadium in Lyon, France on IMAX screens. IMAX and Pathé Live teamed up to shoot the concert with 22 IMAX-certified cameras. This will be the first concert event to be featured in the Filmed in IMAX program.

The concert is part of the highly successful Central Tour which celebrates Indochine’s 40th anniversary. Over its six stadium shows, the tour has sold more than 400,000 tickets. In particular, the group performed its first show on May 21 at the Stade de France Stadium in front of more than 97,000 fans — a record-breaking number for the venue.

Indochine is a French pop-rock band, formed in 1981, which became popular across the world during the 80s with hits such as L’Aventurier and Canary Bay. Today, Indochine is the best selling group in France, having sold more than 13 million records.

Hans Pannecoucke is the director of the upcoming concert movie. It is produced by KMS, Sony Music, and JYL Productions and distributed exclusively in cinemas by Pathé Live.

Tickets for the preview on November 23 will go on sale July 4 while the tickets for the main release, November 24, are scheduled to go on sale on July 7. Apart from France, the movie will be shown in Belgium, Switzerland, and other select areas.

Valeri Vankov: I recently graduated high school and will be moving from Bulgaria to attend Yale University in the fall. My interests range from data science to finance to trends in the entertainment industry. When it comes to movies, I am always down for a good social commentary or a psychological thriller. K-dramas are also on my watchlist. In my free time I enjoy going outdoors and reading the works of Haruki Murakami, Kurt Vonnegut, and others.
