‘How to Train Your Dragon 3’ Pushed Back to 2019

How to Train Your Dragon 3 (HTTYD 3), has been delayed another 10 months. DreamWorks and Universal announced Monday that the release date has been set for March 1, 2019, rather than the earlier March 21, 2018.

The follow up to the 2014’s sequel HTTYD 2 has been delayed before, ever since it was announced in 2016.

Dean Deblois, who directed the first two hits, is set to direct the third installment. The story centers on Viking Chief Hiccup (Jay Baruchel) and his trusty dragon Toothless. In the third movie, Toothless will discover an untamed and enigmatic mate.

HTTYD 3 will be released alongside Universal’s Everest, which tells the story of a group of outsiders who encounter a young yeti and try go an an adventure to bring him home. Everest will be released September 27, 2019.
