Horror Film ‘Men’ Dropped New Trailer Starring Jessie Buckley

IndieWire has reported on a new trailer for a horror film titled Men.

The film stars Jessie Buckley who is nominated for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for the role of young Leda in The Lost Daughter. Buckley plays the role of Harper who takes a vacation after the tragic death of her husband. Harper meets the owner of the vacation house where she is staying at, Geoffrey, played by Bill Tanner (No Time To Die). She then begins to see Geoffrey all around the village as various men who are trying to convince her that she is responsible for her husband’s death. Harper’s husband is played by Paapa Essiedu, who is known for the role of Kwame in I May Destroy You.

The trailer shows off some of the symbolism that will take place in the film most notably in its use of apples. Geoffrey jokes that the apple was a “forbidden fruit” referencing the story of Eve. Blame and guilt seem to be major themes in the film.

The film is directed by Alex Garland, who is known for directing Ex Machina. The film’s release date has not yet been confirmed.
