The family friendly cult gem Hocus Pocus has enthralled hundreds of thousands of people each year with its campy humor and wit. Disney has recently confirmed the constant rumors and rumblings of the film with an trailer detailing the new film. The company is well aware that one of the biggest draws from the first film is the cartoonishly evil Sanderson sisters, who are set to be in the new film. The siblings are played by the same actors as the other film: Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy.
It’s been just shy of 30 years since the Black Flame Candle was burned which brought 3 17th century sisters back from the grave, and its up to the teens who brought them back to defeat them once and for all. From the trailer, it looks as if Whitney Peak’s Becca, Belissa Escobedo’s Izzy, and Lilia Buckingham’s Cassie attempt to light the candle to become witches themselves; but they opened a Pandora’s box that is sure to give them a fright or two.
The film comes in with pointed hat and broom in tow on Disney+ on September 30th.
