Actress Haley Bennett is set to return to the big screen in The Magnificent Seven with her former collaborators from The Equalizer, Denzel Washington and director Antoine Fuqua, Deadline reports. Chris Pratt (Guardians of the Galaxy) will also star in the MGM remake of the 1960 western – which was itself a remake of the 1954 Akira Kurosawa film Seven Samurai. This time around, instead of a Mexican village, the story will take place in an American town that becomes overrun by a gold mining baron and his thugs. Bennett will play a new role as the wife of a man who was murdered by the baron, leading her to hire a bounty hunter and his six gunmen to run him out of town. This high-profile project with its storied history should launch Bennett further into the public eye. Until filming commences on The Magnificent Seven, Bennett will be putting the finishing touches on The Blunderer with Patrick Wilson (Watchmen) and Jessica Biel (The Illusionist), as well as on an Untitled Howard Hughes film to be directed by Warren Beatty.
