Ghost Stories Come to Life in the First Teaser for ‘Crimson Peak’

Crimson Peak – one of mxdwn Movie’s Most Anticipated Films of 2015 – has finally released its first teaser. The chilling preview gets right in to the thick of things with ghosts, gowns, haunted mansion, incest(?), and Jessica Chastain‘s (Zero Dark Thirty) English accent. Guillermo del Toro’s (Hellboy) gothic fairytale centers on Mia Wasikowska (The Double) as Edith Cushing, a young aspiring author who falls in love with Tom Hiddleston’s (Only Lovers Left Alive) gallant Sir Thomas Sharpe, and is taken to his childhood home where his sister, Lady Lucille (Chastain), awaits along with a host of haunted (literally haunted) memories. Charlie Hunnam (Pacific Rim) also stars as a mysterious outsider. The Universal feature will premiere just in time for Halloween on October 16th, and judging by the teaser, it will be a perfect tone-setting precursor.
