Technology has its ups and downs, but nothing is better than getting an upgrade! Leigh Whannell (Saw and Insidious) writes and directs new sci-fi action thriller that tells the story of a man (Logan Marshall-Green) who is a hater of technology who suffers a great loss. He’s offered a chance to have a computer chip implanted inside him called “Stem.” It turns out that Stem is even more powerful than he feared, as the chip can communicate with the person within which it is housed.
The film will also star Harrison Gilbertson (Fallen), Clayton Jacobson (Animal Kingdom), Sachin Joab (Sisters), and Simon Maiden (TV’s Newton’s Law) as the voice of Stem. The film is being distributed BH Tilt and is produced by Blumhouse Productions. The film premiered at the SXSW Film Festival on March 10 and will see a wide release on June 1.
