Geneva Robertson-Dworet Brought on as Writer for ‘Captain Marvel’

Marvel has picked new person to pen the Captain Marvel script: Geneva Robertson-Dworet. She is replacing Nicole Perlman (Raising Rukus) and Meg LeFauve (The Good Dinosaur). Perlman is an alum of Marvel scriptwriting, having also penned the first Guardians of the Galaxy film.

While Robertson-Dworet’s name may sound unfamiliar now, it looks like her work will be well-known before long! Robertson-Dworet is also tied to several big films to be made in the years to come: Sherlock Holmes 3; Gotham City Sirens; and the upcoming Tomb Raider reboot.

There’s still a lot about the Captain Marvel movie and its plot that people don’t know. However it’s become public knowledge that the film will be based in the 1990’s and that Carol Danvers (played by Brie Larsonwill not be among the massive cast present in the next installment in the Avengers franchise, Infinity War: Part One. Still, now that Robertson-Dworet has taken over the script, this might mean that fans will be getting more information soon about how the movie will progress.

While the upcoming Captain Marvel film has been in gestation since 2014, it will not reach theaters until March 8, 2019. Though it’s certainly coming out quite some time from now, at least fans can know that their wait time is more than halfway over!
