Full Costume of Robert Pattinson as ‘The Batman’ Revealed in On Set Photos

Over a week ago, many longtime fans of the Caped Crusader became incredibly excited at the recent reveal of Robert Pattinson daunting the Batman suit. While the reveal looked fantastic to a lot of fans, it still did not reveal a whole lot regarding the character. Fortunately, set footage of Pattinson as Batman has now surfaced online for the upcoming Matt Reeves film, this time unedited and with a better look at the character.

Photos were taken in Scotland at the Glasgow Necropolis cemetery showcasing Pattinson in the suit and on a motorcycle, though presumably a stunt double is in the costume. From this perspective, the suit does look not as bulky as the one Ben Affleck wore, but it does have a ton of armor and what looks like various gadgets tucked into Batman’s utility belt. The suit looks fairly spot on, though one noticeable absence is the Dark Knight’s lack of cape. However this could also just be for a certain sequence and we’ll see the cape later on.

Obviously these are still first impressions and the final suit could still look different, given the lighting that on set photos lack. While some fans were skeptical about Pattinson donning the Batsuit, these photos do give some hope that longtime fans will be getting a different interpretation of the iconic DC superhero. These first looks at the character should make fans very excited.

The Batman is set for release June 25th 2021.

Ryan Pineda: When it comes to film, animation, video games and other mediums, I can discuss for hours about how much on why certain films and animated media made me the person I am today. I adore the artistic merit that comes from a lot of pop-culture media and will definitely love to have a conversation about favorite movies any day! I have graduated in 2017 with a BA in Film and Television at the University of Arizona. Been passionate about writing about films due to always having an interesting outlook on the medium. Will always see a film and will definitely be sure to recommend it to someone that I know for a fact would love that movie. Not only that but will also give reasons for why I think that film did or did not work as a movie, and the same can go for other pieces of media like television, video games and especially animated projects.
