Film4 FrightFest is one of the biggest Horror film festivals in Europe. This year’s fest will be held from August 27th to August 31 in London, and is set to feature films both new and old, massively popular and obscure.
FrightFest 2015’s recently reveled full lineup includes some festival favorites like Turbo Kid, We Are Still Here, Deathgasm, The Nightmare, and Nina Forever. Demonic, the James Wan (Saw, The Conjuring) produced haunted house film will be making its European debut. Films making their UK debut include the Australian Apocalyptic (the biblical kind, not the Mad Max kind) thriller These Final Hours, and Yakuza Apocalypse director Takashi Miike’s Over Your Dead Body. Steve Oram’s bizarre-o comedy Aaaaaaaah! will get its world premiere along with the Native American horror flick Wind Walkers.
If you prefer to stick with the classics, don’t worry, FrightFest has you covered. There’s Clive Barker’s leather-bound 1987 hit, Hellraiser; the so ridiculous-it’s-great, Hawk the Slayer; and no horror festival would be complete without at least one Hammer film, in this case Captain Kronos: Vampire Hunter.
