Four years since his last film The Grand Budapest Hotel and nine years since his last stop-motion feature Fantastic Mr. Fox, beloved indie auteur Wes Anderson will be back in theaters with his latest animated film Isle of Dogs on April 20, 2018.
The film, an American-Japanese hybrid, takes place in Japan and follows the journey of a young boy on the search for his dog. Further plot details have been kept highly under wraps by the filmmaker.
The voice cast is comprised of many Anderson regulars as well as several Japanese and Hollywood newcomers. The extensive cast list is as follows: Bryan Cranston, Koyu Rankin, Scarlett Johansson, Edward Norton, Bill Murray, Greta Gerwig, Tilda Swinton, Akira Ito, Bob Balaban, Liev Schreiber, Kunichi Nomura, Jeff Goldblum, Tilda Swinton, Akira Takayama, Frances McDormand, Courtney B.
