Florence Pugh Struck by Flying Object at ‘Dune: Part Two’ Panel

The lack of decorum from fans in public spaces has been a recurring problem, leading to uncomfortable moments for celebrities. During the CCXP 2023 Dune: Part Two panel in São Paulo, Brazil, Florence Pugh got hit in the face by a flying object thrown by a fan. In the video clip, which has gone viral on social media, Pugh is standing alongside her co-stars Austin Butler, Zendaya, and Timothée Chalamet posing for pictures when suddenly an unknown object strikes Pugh in the eye. She flinches in surprise when the object ricochets off her head as Butler looks to the crowd in dismay. The video cuts out as Pugh and her co-stars bend down to pick up the strange object.

Pugh isn’t the only celebrity that’s fallen victim to this harmful trend. It’s evident that fans have gotten more comfortable with participating in these inappropriate acts, now trying these at panels. Prior to this incident, the Dune cast arrived at the convention to promote the sequel, welcoming new cast members including Florence Pugh’s first look as Princess Irulan.

Pugh shared her excitement on the film’s new characters on social media and spoke with good spirits about reuniting with her Little Women co-star Timothée Chalamet. In her Instagram post, she captioned, “It’s nearly here…#DunePartTwo March 1st 2024. Yipppeeeeeeeee!” She’s shown nothing but high spirits about the upcoming sequel and doesn’t hold back from sharing her enthusiasm with her fans.
