Ezra Miller has been a surprising source of controversy this last year or so. After being charged with theft from a Vermont neighbor in May, Ezra Miller’s plea deal for a reduced sentence of trespassing was accepted Friday by a Superior Court judge. After paying a 500$ fine, Miller will also need to serve one year on administrative probation. The actor was charged with three counts of burglary, petty theft, and trespassing in an incident involving Miller breaking into Stamford, Vermont, neighbor Isaac Winokur’s pantry, where he stole several liquor bottles, including a bottle of gin, vodka, and rum. Vermont State Police found Miller to issue a citation on August 7th.
Per their probation agreement, Miller must register with the department of corrections in Vermont, notify the probation officer of their current address each month and notify probation within 72 hours if probable cause is found for a new criminal offense during the term of probation. In addition, Miller can’t drink alcohol if it begins affecting his employment, the health, and safety of the actor’s family, Miller themself, or any other person per the court’s order. They will also be required to submit to breath-alcohol tests whenever their probation officer requires them.
Miller has had a long and storied history with controversy. In 2011 the flash actor was charged with possession of marijuana in New Jersey. In 2022 the actor was charged with disorderly conduct when according to people, “Miller began yelling obscenities and at one point grabbed the microphone from a 23-year-old woman singing karaoke and later lunged at a 32-year-old man playing darts”. One of the most serious and talked about allegations levied against them was two incidents where Miller was accused of grooming children. One was a Hawaiian child by the name of Tokata Iron Eyes, who was the daughter of Attorney and native American activist Chase Iron eyes, who he met during the Dakota pipeline protests while she was 12 years old. The other was a child from Massachusetts, whose family Miller was accused of harassing, among other incidents of debauchery.
Despite these listed incidents, Warner Bros. The Flash is still set to release on June 16th, 2023, although this was after a delay due to director changes, the COVID-19 pandemic, and post-production setbacks. According to Hollywood Deadline, nothing is known about the plot of the sequel another than its script written by David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick.
