First Official Teaser for ‘Solo: A Star Wars Story’ Drops During Super Bowl

The wait is finally over! The first footage from the Star Wars spinoff Solo: A Star Wars Story is here, and it looks like nothing fans have seen before. Featuring Alden Ehrenreich in his debut as the young Han Solo, the footage released during Super Bowl LII creates an intimate build-up to reveal the rise of who fans know to be the legendary Solo, made popular in the original trilogy by Harrison Ford.

Also appearing in the spot are Emilia Clarke, Donald Glover, Woody Harrelson, Thandie Newton, Paul Bettany and more. Infamously directed by Ron Howard, overtaking the reigns from The Lego Movie directors Chris Miller and Phil Lord, the teaser still seemed to have a bit of their signature stamp on it, especially with the reveal of the film’s logo at the end that teased a film leaning much more toward the animated Clone Wars rather than the traditional darker fare of the live-action films.

Check out the teaser below and see the film in theaters starting on May 25.
