First Look at Leslie Grace on Set of ‘Batgirl’

The Warner Brothers production of Batgirl is thrusting forward at full speed. Actress Leslie Grace will be interpreting Barbara Gordon, the daughter of Commissioner James Gordon of the Gotham Police Department, who takes up the secret identity of Batgirl.

Leslie Grace has finally been spotted at the Glasgow filming studio location of Springburn on a leaked photo of her wearing a grey GCPD t-shirt (below). Leslie has a rather short filmography on her back compared to her musical career. The role of Nina Rosario in HBO’s musical In The Heights, a Puerto Rican girl from the Bronx, seemed to be tailor-made for her as Leslie herself is from that same New York borough with Dominican parents.

The actress will be accompanied by some of the best in Hollywood. Brendan Fraser will be playing the Batman villain Firefly, a sociopath pyromaniac with an obsessive compulsion to start fires. Academy Award-winning actor J.K. Simmons will be reprising his role as James Gordon. The actor had already played the role in Zack Snyder’s Justice League and this time around, will be seen from the perspective of a father who wants to keep his daughter as far from danger as possible in a city full of gangsters and super-powered villains.

His young daughter evidently does the opposite and fights those very criminals her dad wants to protect her from. And after over twenty years, Michael Keaton will be putting on the Bat-suit once again.

Fans of the DC Extended Cinematic Universe will have to wait just a little longer as a release date for Batgirl hasn’t been made official yet by HBO Max and Warner Brothers.
