Preparing for their first steps into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the newest and final trailer for The Fantastic Four: First Steps has dropped online. The trailer carries over the concepts audiences have already been given glimpses of in past teasers, but shows more of them. Each member of the team gets some time to shine, showcasing their special abilities, even with their youngest member, Franklin Richards, getting more spotlight.
With the heroes, however, comes the villain. For First Steps, director Matt Shakman is bringing one of Marvel’s most iconic characters back to the big screen in the form of Galactus. While still kept in shadows and only limited glimpses, more and more has been shown of him across the trailers, while still keeping his full visage a secret.
On the other hand, the herald of Galactus, Silver Surfer, has more screen time in the trailer, along with more lines of dialogue regarding the villain. Already shown in the previous trailer, this one doesn’t hold back, giving plenty of up-close shots of the character in full CGI.
While this is the first time the Fantastic Four will be in the MCU, this isn’t the first Marvel project for Shakman. He was responsible for directing the first of the MCU shows, WandaVision, helming all nine episodes of the series. He’s also directed episodes for Game of Thrones and Apple TV+’s Monarch: Legacy of Monsters.
The team features Pedro Pascal as Mister Fantastic, Vanessa Kirby as the Invisible Woman, Joseph Quinn as the Human Torch, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as The Thing. Ralph Ineson, Julia Garner, John Malkovich, and Natasha Lyonne round out the supporting cast.
The Fantastic Four: First Steps hits theaters July 25th. Check out the trailer below.
