“Expand Your Mind” – Marvel to Show Selected Footage of ‘Doctor Strange’ in IMAX 3-D on October 10th

As the marketing efforts for Marvel’s upcoming Doctor Strange near fever pitch mode, an announcement arrived today that the superhero powerhouse will partner with IMAX, showcasing 15-minutes worth of selected footage of the film on October 10th at 7PM. Select IMAX 3-D theater locations nationwide (over 115 scattered across North America) will offer an exclusive sneak peek of the film and for the kicker, this event will be free.

The event, titled “Expand Your Mind: An IMAX 3-D Exclusive First Look,” will provide moviegoers with the most comprehensive preview yet of Marvel’s latest comic adaptation, which stars Benedict Cumberbatch as the eponymous surgeon reborn as the universe’s most powerful sorcerer. Director Scott Derrickson commented on the IMAX sneak, “As a movie fan, I am thrilled to take audiences along on the visual journey of Doctor Strange and give them an early peek at what we’ve been working on.  The completed film will feature more than an hour of specially formatted IMAX sequences that will provide audiences with a totally immersive—and mind-blowing—film-going experience and I’m excited to share a taste of that with our fans on 10/10.”

Tickets for the event are up for grabs now (by clicking here) and are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Fans who attend the exclusive sneak peek will also receive a limited edition Doctor Strange IMAX poster. Doctor Strange will open in theaters nationwide on November 4th.
