Eric Andre’s ‘Bad Trip’ Trailer Reveals March Release Date on Netflix

A trailer for Eric Andre’s upcoming prank movie Bad Trip has revealed March 26th release date on Netflix. The film will be directed by Kitao Sakurai, who is a long-time director on the The Eric Andre Show. Bad Trip is said to combine “…Andre’s trademark chaotic humor with Jackass-style pranks, and a road trip in the vein of classic American comedies.”

The movie stars Andre, Lil Rel Howery and Tiffany Haddish pranking real-life people. The film was originally slated for an April 2020 theatrical release, but was delayed and sold to Netflix as result of the Covid-19 pandemic. The influence of the Jackass movies is prevalent, as even the plot is about a cross-country road trip, which was clearly inspired by Jackass Presents: Bad Grandpa.

According to Screen Rant, Bad Trip’s plot line includes Andre and Lil Rel Howery playing a couple who take a road trip from Florida up the Atlantic coast, while stopping along the way to prank an innocent and unassuming public, with huge set pieces including a line-dancing bar, a golf course, and a gorilla enclosure at the zoo. Tiffany Haddish plays Howery’s sister who’s out to kill them. As seen in the trailer, the antics in the film include nudity, over-the-top stunts, bodily fluids, and expensive car explosions.

Melissa Cusano: I love to escape reality with reading, writing, movies, and music! If I'm not working I love to go to concerts (pre-covid), play video games, and hang out with my dog Ozzi.
