‘Enchanted’ Sequel Could Become A Reality in ‘Disenchanted’

After over a decade, Amy Adams, who once played the displaced fairytale character Giselle in 2007’s Enchanted, has just read through a very rough draft of the anticipated sequel, Disenchanted.

Fans of the film have been craving a glimpse into what happened after Giselle stayed with Robert (Patrick Dempsey) and Nancy (Idina Menzel) went back to animated fairytale-land with Prince Edward (James Marsden), but according to comments made to Cinemablend’s Sarah El-Mahmoud, fans were beginning to give up hope for this sequel.

For now, only time will tell as no further details as to how and when production will start, but fans can further speculate on the possibility of seeing Giselle adapt to a maternal figure for Morgan or to see Idina Menzel again, who is now in the fairytale realm, as she hopefully belts out some new musical tunes.

One can also only hope director Adam Shankman reenlists Alan Menken to score the upcoming film.

We’ll have more updates as they’re announced.
